The Topanga Coalition for Emergency Preparedness (TCEP) is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, volunteers, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard Personal Data and Non-Personal Data when you visit www.tcep.org, TCEP profiles on TCEP social media sites, and any other digital services and platforms officially operated for or by TCEP from time to time (“Sites”), as well as by phone or by paper.

Donor Information and Contributions

Payment Processing

We use PayPal and/or its affiliates to process donations and other payments.

When you make a donation, your payment information is collected and processed directly by PayPal. We do not store or have access to your full financial account details. PayPal may collect personal information such as your name, billing address, and payment details to process the transaction. Your use of PayPal is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

We may receive limited information from PayPal, such as your name, email address, donation amount, and transaction status, for recordkeeping and donor management purposes.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your Personal or Non-Personal Data.

We may share your Personal Data, sometimes combined with Non-Personal Data, in a variety of ways including, but not limited to:

  • Third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, email and newsletter platforms, website hosting providers, data analytics providers, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, event management tools, and printing and mailing vendors (including sharing mailing addresses to send mailers)
  • When required by law or to protect our rights
  • With your consent or at your direction

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from or market to children under the age of 13.

TCEP implements commercially reasonable security measures to help protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data.
